Malaysian EV owners who frequently visit Singapore can now purchase credits for SP Mobility chargers. The credits are currently available for GAC Aion EV owners and will be offered to other brands soon.
has recently signed a major partnership with SP Group . The new deal will set the path for a seamless cross-border charging experience through EVC’sBuilding upon its strength as the owner and operator of the country’s electricity network, SP Group is Singapore’s largest CPO. According toThrough the new partnership, Malaysian EV owners can now obtain charging credits for SP Mobility chargers.
Likewise, EV owners in Singapore can also purchase charging credits for JomCharge chargers in Malaysia. However, this will only take placecan purchase the SP charging credits. Non-Aion owners can only do so soon although the exact rollout date was not announced by EVC and SP.Meanwhile, the current process to purchase the SP Mobility charging credits through EVC is rather rudimentary.
Soon, users from both countries will only have to use either the JomCharge or SP app to locate and activate EV chargers in Malaysia and Singapore. That being said, EVC and SP did not reveal when the integration process is expected to be completed.
