Johor ruler deeply moved by audio clip of man pleading for help.

Johor ruler Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar has pledged RM1 million to help the authorities address the chemical pollution crisis in Pasir Gudang.

"Tuanku Sultan was discussing this with me as Royal Adviser to the Malaysian Red Crescent Society and he was deeply moved when he heard an audio recording of a crying man pleading for help for his child. In his previous statement, Sultan Ibrahim expressed his unhappiness at irresponsible parties who dumped the chemical waste into Sungai Kim Kim that adversely affected students and members of the public.
