JOHOR BARU: The state's 1.8 million youths can help Johor be developed by 2030, says Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi.
“It is unlikely that we can achieve the target of making Johor a developed state by 2030 without the participation of youth. There is a saying that if you want to go fast, go alone but if you want to go far, go together,” said the Mentri Besar.
Onn Hafiz added that approximately 50% of Johor's population is made up of youth, and said that the future of the state is in their hands. “It is now time to open up a pathway for future generations in all sectors, including government, private, economy and politics,” he added. Onn Hafiz added that the island republic was not that far from Johor geographically, but the gap between the two is indeed quite far.
“Where is our pride as Bangsa Johor. Even though this matter is basic but it must be handled as this is our pride,” he said.
