KULAI: Police have arrested two male suspects, including an Indonesian national, for allegedly breaking into a house and stealing more than RM5,000 worth of valuables.
Kulai OCPD Supt Tok Beng Yeow said based on information, the suspects, between the ages of 27 and 41, were arrested in two separate locations here between noon and 2pm Sunday .
“The suspects were arrested following a report lodged by a man that someone had broken into his apartment located along Jalan Cengal in Bandar Putra Kulai here at around 3.10pm on April 30. “Checks by the victim found that the thieves managed to steal a television, a laptop, six pairs of sports shoes, four wrist watches, a mobile phone, motorcycle keys and cash with a total value of RM5,500, ” he added.He said that following the raids, police also successfully recovered some of the items believed to have been stolen from the victim’s apartment.
“Initial investigations showed that the suspects were involved in the case while the recovered items will be identified by the victim, ” he said. Supt Tok added that the suspects were currently being remanded for six days to assist with investigations under Section 457 of the Penal Code.
