JOHOR BARU: The state government has gazetted 54 quarantine centres throughout Johor as part of its preparation to contain the Covid-19 outbreak.
State health and environment committee chairman R. Vidyananthan said up till Friday , a total of 14 centres had started operations.
On Friday, Johor Baru MP Akmal Nasir had urged the Malaysian government to allow Malaysians in Singapore to return following the republic’s latest decision to close most workplaces.“However, those who return must go through a strict screening process and mandatory quarantine for 14 days at centres set up by the government.
