JOHOR BARU: The Johor government has allocated almost RM1mil as assistance for 255 families in Kampung Melayu Majidee here who were affected by a storm on May 3.

He said the cash assistance was a contribution from the Johor Menteri Besar’s Office, the Johor Baru City Council Foundation and the Johor Islamic Religious Council. The Larkin assemblyman said food baskets were also distributed to the victims courtesy of non-governmental organisation Southern Volunteers and the Johor Baru parliamentary office.
