BATU PAHAT: Workers at an oil palm plantation near here stumbled across a crocodile while carrying out cleaning work near a river at Kampung Linau Kecil Laut on Monday (July 6).
Penggaram Fire and Rescue station chief Saifulle Idris said the department received a distress call about the reptile at around 3.20pm Monday.
Saifulle added the crocodile was then brought back to the station before being handed over to the Wildlife and National Parks Department for further action. Pasir Gudang Fire and Rescue station chief Ibrahim Omar said that the department received a distress call at 7.19am Monday and deployed one fire engine with seven firemen to the scene.
