JOHOR BARU: Police have busted two drug syndicates and arrested its ringleaders and 16 others in a series of raids in the state.
Among the 18 arrested were six women aged between 25 and 50.
"The first syndicate, known as 'Ah Poh', comprises 12 suspects whose ringleader is a 43-year-old Singaporean. Comm Ayub added that the second syndicate, whose ringleader is known as"Handsome", was a known drug offender and had been arrested six times since 2002. "Police arrested six syndicate members, including the ringleader's wife and another known as the 'Professor', who was responsible for measuring and packaging syabu for their pushers here, Seri Alam and Kota Tinggi," he said.
