JOHOR BARU: Johor Baru City Council (MBJB) will not hesitate to issue compound notices to heavy vehicle owners for violating the rules on the usage of protocol roads.
Johor Baru mayor Datuk Mohd Noorazam Osman said lately there had been damage and dirt on the protocol roads including those within the city centre.
Mohd Noorazam said the council would conduct joint-operations with agencies such as the Road Transport Department and Public Works Department . "These include maintaining the cleanliness of the roads and also complying with the usage time of the roads that have been set," added Mohd Noorazam. Mohd Noorazam said the gazettement of the roads was made at the state-level in accordance with Schedule 9 Para 6 of the Federal Constitution.
