Ayon kay Stephen Lunes, adviser ni Casimero, nagpadala umano ng sulat ang Games and Amusement Board sa KBC para iprotesta ang deklarasyon na"no contest" ang laban nina Casimero at Akaho. Sa hiwalay na panayam naman, sinabi ng veteran boxing analyst na si Atty. Ed Tolentino, na dapat alisin muna sa isip ni Casimero na makalaban ang unified bantamweight champion at Japanese fighter na si Naoya Inoue.
