'There is still a deadly virus that thrives on people being really close to each other,' JohnLegend warned protesters
John Legend attends the 2020 Vanity Fair Oscar Party hosted by Radhika Jones at Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Feb. 9, 2020 in Beverly Hills, Calif.is warning those out in the crowd that COVID-19 is still a very real and deadly virus. The singer voiced his support for peaceful protesting over the death of George Floyd, but also reminded people to take precautions to protect themselves and others from getting sick.
"Please stay as safe as you can. There is still a deadly virus that thrives on people being really close to each other. Distance as much as possible and wear a mask to protect yourself and others!" he tweeted on Sunday .
