I never knew love could be so unquestionably beautiful. I never knew until you.
The pair have already received plenty of congratulations from the likes of Elle Fanning, Shannon Purser, Camila Mendes, Lana Condor, Anna Sophia Robb, Yara Shahidi and more. BFF Sabrina Carpenter joked, “Still getting used to our open relationship but really happy for you guys.” The announcement post included photos of the couple embracing, as well as a cheeky shot of Joey flipping the camera her ring finger. Piet was a producer/director on the show. For his milestone birthday last May, Joey posted a sweet tribute to Piet on IG.
Piet posted his own announcement of the engagement, describing the chilly weather on the day he proposed, calling it “perfectly imperfect to ask my best friend to spend a lifetime together.” Piet’s post includes a shot of Joey bundled up in a coat and hat, wearing a huge smile and her gorgeous engagement ring. “You’ve unlocked a dimension of love in me that I never knew existed.”
