Illinois Senator Dick Durbin said Tammy Duckworth will interview to be considered as Joe Biden's vice presidential pick.

Illinois Senator Tammy Duckworth is under consideration for Joe Biden's vice presidential pick, according to Illinois' other senator Dick Durbin.

Former Vice President Biden officially began the search process of selecting his running mate on April 29, who he pledged would be a woman."Selecting a vice presidential candidate is one of the most important decisions in a presidential campaign and no one knows this more than Joe Biden," campaign manager Jen O'Malley Dillon said in a statement.

Duckworth also addressed the allegations from Tara Reade, a former Senate staff of Biden's who said the then-Delaware senator sexually assaulted her in 1992.
