PETALING JAYA: Malaysia administered 469,690 doses of Covid-19 vaccines on Saturday (Aug 21), says the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV).
In a series of tweets on Sunday , JKJAV said 159,792 people received their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, while 309,898 individuals received their second dose.For second doses, Selangor led the way with 96,884 jabs, followed by Kuala Lumpur and Johor .
JKJAV said since the start of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme, a total of 30,840,093 Covid-19 vaccine doses had been administered in the country. It added that so far, 77.4% of the adult population had received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, while 54.3% of the adult population had received both doses and were fully vaccinated.
In terms of the total Malaysian population, 55.5% have received one dose and 38.9% have received two doses.
