JIM Kedah berjaya menggagalkan cubaan pemalsuan identiti seorang remaja perempuan warga Sri Lanka

: Jabatan Imigresen Malaysia Kedah berjaya menggagalkan cubaan pemalsuan identiti seorang remaja perempuan warga Sri Lanka di Pejabat Imigresen UTC Sungai Petani pada Rabu lepas.

“Hasil siasatan mendapati remaja itu gagal untuk berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Melayu dan hanya fasih berbahasa Tamil. Ia menyebabkan anggota JIM berasa ragu dengan identiti remaja itu yang telah hadir untuk membuat pasport bersama seorang wanita warga Malaysia yang mengaku sebagai ibunya. Semakan terhadap kamera litar tertutup dan dokumen pengenalan diri yang ditinggalkan telah membawa kepada penemuan dalang utama kes, iaitu seorang wanita berbangsa India yang mengaku sebagai ibu remaja berkenaan.
