The Jigawa State FADAMA CARES project coordinator Aliyu Inuwa has issued a stern warning to beneficiaries of agricultural inputs against selling or diverting the support provided under the program.
He made the warning while addressing some of the beneficiaries at flag -off of the distribution of agricultural inputs of the phase five of the program held at Dutse JASCO store. He said under the fifth implementation, a total of 4340 farmers benefited with the agricultural inputs including three fertiliser, agro chemicals and herbicide.
' He said the program is aimed at supporting farmers to improve food production and enhance food security. 'This support is a grant not loan so we are expecting you to use it judiciously to enhance food production' 'We will be closely monitoring the use of these inputs, and anyone found selling or diverting them will face serious consequences,' Inuwa warned.
