We chat with MythicQuest stars ashly_burch and Jessie Ennis, who play Rachel & Jo, about what's changed in season 3 of the appletvplus series and how the relationships in and out of the office have evolved:
Warning: Some light SPOILERS for Mythic Quest season 3.Mythic Quest season 3 is back and ready to bring audiences another serving of the show's trademark blend of humor, heart, and workplace chaos. The Apple TV+ original series first debuted in 2020, and despite a global pandemic and the exit of one of its main actors in F. Murray Abraham , it looks to be heading into this new batch of episodes on a high.
Ashly Burch: It's so interesting because it's a weird mind shift, but it's also helpful to see how many other people on the show do it. Rob and David obviously are also EPs . I find that you really do have—not a different personality, but you get in different modes. I definitely have an actor Ashly mode, a writer Ashly mode, and I guess a director Ashly mode now.
Jessie Ennis: No, its' not. It's so fun, I love it so much. The high-energy thing is really special. There are very few characters where you get to play this wild of a range of emotions and energy. For me, I want to have a version that's like really sweet, and the cute little schoolgirl version of her, and then the unbridled, unparalleled rage.
I feel like at every stage we get to plus things, and so actually getting in the room and getting to perform those scenes, and getting to be with Charlotte and Jessie, kind of blossomed into this great thing that made so much sense. To get to see the dynamics of these people that are wildly different interact on screen was just really really fun, and I think it turned out well.
