At first, the two men were separated by 40 yards, with Jones doing an ESPN pregame interview and Johnson speaking to Troy Aikman, doing color for the ESPN game, and to Charlotte Jones, Jerry’s daughter. After their chats, Johnson and Jones met along the sidelines. Then the two men walked onto the field away from television cameramen.the only thing left is for Johnson to get inducted into the Cowboys’ Ring of Honor.
As Jones and Johnson were talking, a brief skirmish broke out between the teams. There was plenty of shoving during the 30-second incident. On the surface, it appeared Cowboys defensive ends Dante Fowler and Sam Williams were involved at the start of the incident.
