The 62-year-old is said to have gone on The Jeremy Kyle Show in an attempt to ‘clear his name’, after he was accused of cheating on his fiancée Jane Callaghan. However, his son Carl Woolley, has since claimed his dad was left ‘distraught’ after failing the lie detector test. The pair hadn’t spoken for more than seven years, but ended up having a phone conversation following his appearance on the ITV programme.However, 39-year-old Carl claims that his dad had left behind a note before his death.He told the Mail Online: ‘I called after he got home from filming the episode. He was distraught over the break-up of the relationship.’The health and safety adviser added: ‘He was adamant that he did not lie.
‘Ongoing service’ from the show is also discussed with the guest, and if requested then ‘appropriate’ solutions are found such as counselling, anger management or family mediation.
