Jepun rancang tempatkan berpandu jarak jauh, mampu serang Korea Utara dan China
TOKYO: Jepun merancang untuk menempatkan peluru berpandu jarak jauh ke pulau selatannya, Kyushu, susulan kebimbangan terhadap pendirian pentadbiran Amerika Syarikat dalam perjanjian keselamatan dan ketegangan serantau yang berterusan.
Sistem senjata baharu ini dilaporkan adalah versi terkini daripada peluru berpandu Type-12 pasukan pertahanan diri darat yang digunakan untuk serangan dari darat ke kapal. Penghantaran peluru berpandu jarak jauh di pulau Okinawa yang terletak dalam jarak 110km dari Taiwan tidak mungkin berlaku bagi mengelakkan provokasi terhadap China. Pulau-pulau ini sudah menempatkan beberapa bateri peluru berpandu dengan jarak yang lebih pendek.
“Saya rasa Jepun perlu mengambil langkah segera seperti menempatkan peluru berpandu jarak jauh untuk membangunkan keselamatan yang lebih kukuh.”
