NEWLY-elected Tanjung Piai MP Datuk Seri Dr Wee Jeck Seng was sworn in at the Dewan Rakyat.
Jeck Seng, 55, dressed in dark suit and red tie, took his oath of office before Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Mohamad Ariff Md Yusof yesterday.In his welcoming speech, the Speaker said the Dewan Rakyat was a highly-respected place in the country where laws that affect every Malaysian were enacted.“Congratulations, once again, ’’ he added.The other is party president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, who is Ayer Hitam MP.
Jeck Seng also took the opportunity to ask his first question to a deputy minister during Question Time. “What is the government’s move to ensure food security seeing as how we are still dependent on food imports?” he asked. However, Sim’s answer drew the ire of Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar , who demanded that Sim provided facts with his answer.
