Financial services group Momentum Metropolitan has appointed Jeanette Marais as its new CEO, with Hillie Meyer set to retire after five years at the firm’s helm at the end of September. Marais, who has held the role of deputy CEO since 2018, will assume the CEO role from 1 August 2023 to allow for a short handover period. Her career in the financial services sector spans 30 years.

“The boards are confident that Jeanette has vast knowledge and understanding of the … group business, strategy and culture, having been a key member of the executive team over the past few critical years in the business’s evolution,” the company said in a shareholder notice on Friday.
