JOHOR BARU: Johor Corporation (JCorp) is looking forward to working with newly-minted Johor Mentri Besar Dr Sahruddin Jamal.

JCorp president and CEO Datuk Kamaruzzaman Abu Kassim said the state investment arm would liase with the Mentri Besar's Office on a suitable date for the JCorp board of directors to meet him. "We also hope to hold a briefing for him when he visits our headquarters here in the near future," he said Monday .

Kamaruzzaman, who is also KPJ Healthcare Bhd chairman, told reporters this at the topping-off ceremony for the additional building of KPJ Puteri Specialist Hospital here. The RM60mil building on a 0.967ha site is already 60% completed and the new wing with 200 beds is expected to open for business in the first quarter of next year.The Johor Mentri Besar automatically becomes the chairman of JCorp, which has diversified business activities including, among others, healthcare, quick service restaurants, plantations and property development.
