: Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia telah menjalankan sebanyak 143 operasi menyelamat mangsa banjir di Sabah dan Sarawak setakat ini.
“Situasi banjir di Sabah dan Sarawak agak serius kerana kalau di Sarawak biasanya bandar Kuching sahaja tetapi ini di kawasan Bintulu yang mana kita jarang-jarang dengar...tetapi situasi terkawal dan setakat ini pegawai dan anggota di kedua-dua negeri boleh menguruskan keadaan di sana sama ada dari segi keanggotaan dan logistik tanpa perlu bantuan digerakkan dari Semenanjung,” katanya.
Ahmad Izram berkata pihaknya masih berada dalam keadaan siap siaga berikutan musim Monsun Timur Laut dijangka berakhir pada pertengahan Mac ini. Sementara itu, Ahmad Izram berkata pihaknya melakukan pelbagai program termasuk ‘Wellness Hub’ bagi memastikan pegawai dan anggota mempunyai indeks jisim badan antara 28 hingga 20.
