A Japan ese family was seen picking up litter in Tiong Bahru, Singapore, on December 14, prompting a local resident to reflect on his own actions and those of other Singaporeans. Alex Chan, a Tiong Bahru resident, shared his observation on the Facebook group Tiong Bahru Social Page. He encountered the family while purchasing breakfast and noticed them conversing in Japan ese while cleaning a sheltered walkway. Chan believes the children were around seven to ten years old.
This incident isn't the first instance of Japanese tourists demonstrating their care for Singapore's environment. Previously, a Japanese tourist named Toshi gained attention for picking up rubbish. Toshi, who had been staying in Singapore for two months, expressed his love for the city's cleanliness and his desire to contribute to its upkeep
