Japan continued its run through the FIFA Women’s World Cup on Saturday, August 5, advancing to the quarterfinals with a 3-1 win over Norway in Wellington, New Zealand.
Norway didn’t have much of a chance to fight back on Saturday as Japan possessed the ball for 65 percent of the match. “[The 4-0 loss to Japan] really hurt and the healing of that pain will continue,” Vilda told a press conference.
