: Japan’s earthquake scientists have warned of the possibility of a coming “megaquake” after eight people were injured Thursday by one of magnitude 7.1 in the south.
The Fire and Disaster Management Agency said eight people were hurt -- including several hit by falling objects. The government has previously said a megaquake has a roughly 70 percent probability of striking within the next 30 years.
