The phrase JalenHurts filed to trademark is based on something that the former Alabama QB said the week before Super Bowl LVII. At the time, Hurts knew he’d said something quotable because he interjected: “I know y’all liked that one.” Via aldotcomTide:
In his second season as the Eagles’ starter, Hurts helped Philadelphia win the NFC championship and reach Super Bowl LVII, where it played the Kansas City Chiefs on Feb. 12.
Hurts was asked: “Why do you think you’re having so much success and making it look easy so early in your NFL career when the critics said you wouldn’t become a very good NFL quarterback?”. “Everything I want to do is just quantify my work, just quantify the work that I put in. I don’t really like to look at the results. Never like to look at the results, just the process of getting better.
“I’ve always been my biggest critic. As the success has come, it’ll continue to stay that way. But I also hold the respect of my peers and their words, my coaches, my family, my dad, my brother, coach Sirianni, coach Brian , the guys that I play with – in the end, those are the guys that lay it all out on the line.”
