SINGAPORE: A 42-year-old man who lived apart from his wife went on trial in the High Court on Jan 21 for allegedly raping her at the place where he lived.
KUALA LUMPUR: Comedian Harith Iskander will be summoned by the Malaysian Islam ic Development Department to obtain details regarding allegations of him making insensitive comments about Islam .
According to Sinar Harian, Jakim director-general Datuk Dr Sirajuddin Suhaimee said that Jakim has lodged a police report on the issue. According to him, Jakim was also working with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission on the matter."We will never compromise and will take action if it is something that ridicules Islamic teachings and offends the sensitivities of Muslims.Harith had posted on Facebook last week that his faith was “shaken” after seeing the word “ham” in the name of a RM5.50 coffee drink called “ham sap kopi”, supposedly in a joking manner.
On Tuesday three police reports were lodged against the local celebrity in Johor over allegations of making insensitive comments on Islam. Johor police chief Comm Datuk M.
