New details have emerged after a notorious child-killer and a man accused of being a serious sex offender were allegedly attacked in a correctional centre in Queensland.

Latest reports allege that an unnamed inmate threw a “jail napalm” at Ashley Paul Griffith before punching Brett Peter Cowan in the face at the Wolston Correctional Centre in Queensland.

Cowan received a life sentence for the 2003 murder of 13-year-old Daniel Morcombe on the Sunshine Coast. In New South Wales, he faces: 68 counts of sexual intercourse with a child under 10; 42 counts of aggravated sexual intercourse with a child under 10; 69 counts of aggravated indecent assault; and one count of producing child abuse material.
