The cost-of-living package announced as part of Budget 2025 will not be on the same scale as previous budgets, Finance Minister Jack Chambers has confirmed.
Earlier this week at his party’s think-in, Minister Chambers confirmed that there will be energy credits as part of October 1’s giveaway. He further confirmed that between the cost-of-living package and changes to the tax regime, average workers will be "at least €1,000" better off.
While it was being suggested in Leinster House on Wednesday that two credits worth €250 could be announced, Mr Chambers would not be drawn on the value.
