Alas, no: Ivanka’s condemnation was not directed at President Trump, but CNN anchor Don Lemon and two pundits,columnist Wajahat Ali and ex-Republican strategist Rick Wilson. During live coverage of Trump’s impeachment proceedings on Saturday night, Wilson referenced a recent,host Mary Louise Kelly and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, in which Kelly said Pompeo shouted at her and “asked if I could find Ukraine on a map.
Pompeo “knows deep within his heart that Donald Trump couldn’t find Ukraine on a map if you had the letterand a picture of an actual physical crane next to it,” Wilson said, causing Lemon to laugh until he cried. “He knows that this is an administration defined by ignorance of the world. And so that’s partly him playing to the base and playing to their audience. You know, the credulous Boomer-rube demo that backs Donald Trump.
Which is where Ivanka’s ire comes in. “The arrogance, mocking accents and smug ridicule of this nation’s ‘Real Elites’ is disgusting,” she wrote in her strongly worded tweet about the panel on Tuesday. (Completely coincidentally, I’m sure, her father had also slammed Lemon on Monday night,
