The Embassy of Italy in Manila, the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (ICCPI) on Friday announced it will conduct a three-day trade mission in the country next month.
The mission will be focused in three main sectors—water and agriculture, transportation, and energy—with the participation of over 20 prominent Italian companies, including Fincantieri, Irritec, AQP, Leonardo and Enel Green Power, the parties said.
The Italian embassy, ITA, and ICCPI said the three-day mission will start with a visit to the Asian Development Bank , where the Italian companies will explore the opportunities offered by the multilateral bank. The second day will be divided into the three sectors and the Italian companies will have the opportunity to establish a direct contact with the Philippine authorities active in the energy, transportation, water and agriculture sectors, and present their excellent products to all the sectoral agencies responsible for the different sub-sectors.
On the third day, the Italian delegation will meet with representatives of the largest Philippine conglomerates at the New World Makati Hotel, both through presentations of their profiles and in-depth business-to-business talks with a rotation between companies based on the matching arrangements suggested by ICCPI, ITA, and the Embassy, and with their mediation.
The trade mission aims to create new investment opportunities between Italy and the Philippines and showcase some of the best Italian companies active in the water- treatment, infrastructure and renewable energy sectors, the parties said.
