Proceeds from Christian Louboutin's new collection will go toward Together for Children, a Greek non-profit association working to provide support for children and young adults with disabilities.
For the past several summers, Christian Louboutin has released a Caba collection, a line of destination-inspired accessories dedicated to all of summer’s most see-and-be-seen scenes. There has been the Manilacaba in honor of the Philippines’ capital and the Portugaba, inspired by Mr. Louboutin’s travels through Portugal.
To fete the capsule, Louboutin went out east to Montauk’s deluxe lobster destination, Duryea’s, which is as close as it gets to a Greek island on Long Island. From the restaurant’s deck, a panoramic view of a vivid blue Fort Bay Pond, which with the right weather conditions, is positively Mediterranean-esque. Thankfully, on Sunday afternoon, the fashion gods gave us good weather, producing a lovely scene.
Louboutin had entirely taken over the space, where white linen-clad servers passed around ouzo and rosé. There was also a steady stream of passed bites, including fresh octopus and grilled halloumi. Lounge seating temporarily replaced the deck’s usual picnic tables, and guests, including Minka Kelly, Lukas Gage, Wyatt Oleff, Sophia Lillis, and Larsen Thompson, clustered in groups and mingled.
All the while, DJ Mona Matsouka provided the tunes and only briefly paused for a live acoustic performance from a traditional ‘bouzouki’ player, which transported everyone to a Greco isle if they hadn’t already gotten there with a few sips of ouzo. Of course, everyone sported the colorful new collection; one clever partygoer even used one of the paddleball racquets, festooned with prints from the collection, set up in the lawn-games station, as a Louboutin fan.
Should guests desire even more Greekaba, all they had to do was pop over to Louboutin’s Southampton boutique to shop the entire collection, proceeds from which will go toward Together for Children, a Greek non-profit association working to provide support for children and young adults with disabilities.
