Dr. Kevin O’Connor, the president’s physician, said in February that Biden “remains fit for duty, and fully executes all of his responsibilities without any exemptions or accommodations.” Many younger lawmakers are clamoring for a more robust generational change. McConnell suffered a bad fall of his own four months ago, and was hospitalized for a concussion and fractured rib.
