This means that people who experience diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting after interacting with someone who’s sick with COVID-19 could also be infected, even if they don’t exhibit a fever, cough or shortness of breath.
The data also showed that patients who experienced a digestive symptom were shown to seek out medical treatment later than those who experienced respiratory symptoms, waiting 16 days after their symptoms first appeared, compared to 11 days for those with respiratory symptoms.
