On February 11, Amanda McPhee picked up her children from school and took them to a friend's house. She has not been seen since.
After initial investigations, police found CCTV footage of Amanda McPhee filling her car with fuel and withdrawing $40 from anher family were told by police that she was picked up on CCTV at Keith, near the Victorian border, about 7:30pm that same day.
She has not used her bank account, despite her family depositing money into it to make sure she could get by if she needed.Mrs McPhee said her daughter would never leave her son and daughter — aged five and eight — so she knew something was wrong. "It's very stressful, particularly for her children who don't know where Mummy is and it's really difficult for us because we don't know what to tell the children," she said."They constantly ask if the police have found her yet," she said.
"My gut feeling is that someone has helped her to flee, that someone knows where she is and that they might be able to give us some information — even just to tell us that she's alright so we can tell the children that she's alright.
