Caity has trained hard with her local street soccer group in Canberra in the ACT in preparation for the tournament.What is the Homeless World Cup? The games are different to a regular football match, running for 15 minutes each with four players a side on a smaller pitch."Like most of the team going over, I've never been to America before so it's going to be a huge new experience," Caity said.
"At first I was super apprehensive because I hadn't played soccer in ages, but then I came along and everyone was super friendly.Caity credits the program with improving the lives of people like her who have experienced disadvantage. "I came to Melbourne and pretty much nothing. And then I just sort of started again, started off couch surfing and went to rehab."After several attempts, Jimmy says, he has now been clean for three years.
