: Istana Negara has told party leaders to form coalitions with parties that have the most number of seats to work together to form the government.

In a statement, the Comptroller of the Royal Household, Datuk Seri Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin said party leaders and heads of coalitions will be requested to propose a prime ministerial candidate to Istana Negara by 2pm tomorrow. In line with Article 40 and Article 43 of the federal constitution, Fadil also said that the order of consent and His Majesty’s decision regarding the formation of a new government and the appointment of the prime minister through the said process is final.
