PUTRAJAYA: A total of 17,728 premises were inspected by the multi-agency task force on compliance to check if premise operators and businesses adhered to the standard operating procedure now that they have been allowed to resume business.

Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob reported that the checks were made on Tuesday involving 1,057 supermarkets, 1,743 restaurants and 598 factories.

Also checked were 9,259 private vehicles, 927 places of worship, 298 recreational facilities and 180 construction sites. “Later, those who fail to comply will be issued with a stern warning followed by legal action, ” he said on Wednesday . However, certain businesses and social activities where body contact may occur and practicing social distancing will be difficult, are not allowed.
