Perkara itu dikhabarkan anak beliau, Mohd Firdaus Ismail yang memaklumkan menerima perkembangan baik itu daripada doktor selepas bapanya selesai proses dialisis.
"Selepas habis proses dialisis ada sedikit pengurangan toksin dalam badan. Menurut doktor lagi, jantung masih lemah dan masih diberikan ubat untuk sokongan "Kami membuat keputusan untuk terus kekal di ICU selagi tidak memerlukan alat sokongan pernafasan," katanya dalam kenyataan, hari ini.Beliau turut meminta orang ramai untuk terus menitipkan doa buat Ismail.Beliau dijangka keluar hospital pada hari ini, namun dimasukkan ke ICU pada malam Isnin akibat sedikit serangan jantung, strok ringan, tekanan darah rendah dan jangkitan kuman di paru-paru.
