Correctional services still to announce fate of former president whose medical parole was ruled unlawful

The Constitutional Court earlier this month dismissed Zuma’s application for leave to appeal a Supreme Court of Appeal ruling that he return to prison to complete his 15-month sentence for contempt of court, saying an appeal had “no reasonable prospects of success”. The department has yet to announce whether Zuma should return to jail, and the DA is demanding it clarify the matter immediately .
“This trip undoubtedly serves as a response to the adverse ConCourt judgment which dismissed the department’s application for leave to appeal the SCA’s ruling that Zuma must return to prison, as his early release on medical parole was unlawful.
