Further details about the plot and characters are still being kept under wraps. The outlet notes that Cooper might also be involved in the writing process of the final draft once the ongoing WGA strike ends. Is This Thing On? will be produced by Cooper for Lea Pictures, Arnett, and Kris Thykier, with John Bishop executive producing.Cooper recently reprised his role as Rocket in Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Before directing Is This Thing On?, the actor-filmmaker is currently busy working on the post-production of his upcoming biographical drama for Netflix titled, which will see him star as award-winning composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein. This serves as his follow-up to 2018’s A Star Is Born remake, which was his feature directorial debut.
As for Arnett, the Emmy nominee will next be seen in Taika Waititi’s sports dramedy Next Goal Wins, which centers around an American Samoa football team.
