We installed a Ring Car Camera on our long-term Hyundai Santa Cruz to Find Out
We'd never given much thought to the origins of the term"cat burglar" but it turns out there may be something to it. We recently installed a Ring car camera onthe $249.99 car version of its camera system better known for home use to catch porch pirates. It came with easy-to-install instructions, so we gave it a whirl. The resulting notifications clued us into the migrant pet population in the area around our Detroit office.
The camera has a narrow end that slides into the gap between the center of the dashboard and the windshield and there is an adhesive to stick to the glass to keep it in place. Ring supplies a cute little blue tool to help tuck any protruding wires into the dash and out of view. There is a hinge to adjust the angle of the camera and a privacy shutter if you don't want it to record inside the car.
