A new trailer for the long awaited sequel Wakanda Forever seems to tease the reveal.
and fans were all in agreement that the short clip was easily worth the wait. There's little dialogue in the two minute clip — aside from a heart-wrenching moment from Angela Basset as Queen Ramonda where she's clearly mourning the loss of her son and the heir to Wakanda, T'Challa. The clip follows the country coming together as they grieve a momentous loss to their nation — ending with a clip that shows the new Black Panther, but doesn't fully reveal who it is, just yet.
The second official trailer however seems to confirm Marvel fans' theory that Shuri could be the next Black Panther.Months after Boseman's passing, Disney confirmed, "Honoring Chadwick Boseman’s legacy & portrayal of T’Challa, @MarvelStudios will not recast the character, but will explore the world of Wakanda & the rich characters introduced in the first film."
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige doubled down on this statement, adding that the film won't have "a CG Chadwick."in January 2021. "Wakanda is a place to further explore with characters and different subcultures. This was always and initially the primary focus of the next story. We’re not going to have a CG Chadwick and we’re not recasting T’Challa.
