Most parts of the country are set to enjoy a rare glimpse of sunshine this morning before clouds move in from the west this afternoon ahead of another wet and windy night.
Alan O’Reilly of Carlow Weather is predicting “good sunny spells” this morning and “just the odd shower” before a spell of wet and windy weather moves in tonight. Enjoy it while it lasts though, as the weather will turn more unsettled for the remainder of the weekend and into next week with further spells of rain and showers.Wednesday Rain will clear from Ulster and Leinster in the morning with sunny spells and scattered blustery showers following. Highest temperatures of seven to 12 degrees in a moderate to fresh and gusty west to southwest wind.
Thursday night will see lingering rain in parts of the north and east will clear early on with further showers and clear spells developing. Lowest temperatures of three to six degrees in moderate to fresh southwest winds, veering northwest later.
