Paul Harrington and Charlie McGettigan won the Eurovision 30 years ago in 1994
Rock 'n' Roll Kids hitmaker Paul Harrington is set to announce the Irish jury votes on Saturday night at the Eurovision grand final.
After winning the Eurovision, Paul became a popular performer for A-list celebrities at the VIP Room in Dublin’s Lillie's Bordello. He entertained the Rolling Stones, Prince, and U2. After winning Eurovision, Charlie wrote Anybody Got a Shoulder? for Kat Mahon to compete at Eurosong in 2015. Unfortunately, she didn’t make it to the official Song Contest after coming in second.
Four years after Eurovision 1994, the singer lost his only son Shane, who was killed in a construction accident while working in Quincy, Massachusetts. Shane was 21 years old at the time when the scaffolding he was working on collapsed.
