Tensions have escalated and fears are mounting following the funeral of the Hamas senior leader, Ismail Haniyeh.
Iran has informed the United States of America, through its friends in the region, that it will launch a retaliatory attack after the assassination of Haniyeh at a hotel in Tehran. Hezbollah has issued similar threats after one of its senior commanders was killed by the Israeli Defence Force.The killing of the Hamas leader has sparked fears in the Middle East as Iran’s threats to retaliate will affect peace and security in that region.
