Ipoh primary school kids to learn about doughnut economy model from this year

A team of athletes inspires hope and unity in the global amputee community at the recent Women's Amputee World Cup in Colombia.

Ipoh Mayor Datuk Rumaizi Baharin launched the programme of Global Doughnut Economics Day at Sk Marian Convent Ipoh .

The mayor said the Ipoh City Council wants to create awareness of sustainable economic models among children, and the programme would be gradually introduced to all primary schools in the city before the end of the year. "We want to create awareness so the children can take care of the planet," he said after officiating the city-level World Global Doughnut Economics Day at SK Marian Convent on Wednesday ."We will also have roadshows for the public later, and I hope that we can make the Ipoh Doughnut Economic City a success by 2027," he added.In September, Ipoh was named a recipient of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme Scroll of Honour Award for the initiative.
