Lee Hao Yi, 21, nodded when the charge under Section 302 of the Penal Code was read before Magistrate Siti Nora Sharif on Friday .Deputy Public Prosecutor Nur Aqilah Syaza Ariffin prosecuted, while the accused was not represented by a lawyer.

According to the charge sheet, Lee was accused of murdering Lee Huey Ting, 54, between Nov 6 at 1am and Nov 10 at 8.25am at No 20, Jalan Pengkalan Barat 25, Taman Puteri Lindungan Bintang, Kinta here.On Nov 11, acting Perak police chief Deputy Comm Zulkafli Sariaat said in a press conference that the accused was believed to have caused the death of his aunt, whose decomposing body was found inside a house here on Sunday because she was overbearing.

He said the accused has lost his patience with the victim and attacked her before keeping her body in a room of the house at Taman Puteri Lindungan Bintang in Pasir Puteh here. "They were staying together. The suspect lost his patience, got angry and punched the woman repeatedly until she fell down a flight of stairs," he added.
